At the chosen time, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the Rocinha Favela, one of the largest in Brazil.

In this walking tour we are going to talk about the most negative prejudices related to favelas and look at some little known aspects of these places. We will discover the power of teaching concretely by knowing deeply about the educational projects of social reintegration. Thanks to these programs, the residents of the favelas can live legally without having to use violence.

Contrary to popular belief, you can find many interesting forms of artistic expression in these areas of Rio. In fact, we will see Rocinha’s famous street art. Some of the murals are true works of art and the colorful buildings in the neighborhood are masterpieces of the creativity of the Rocinha people.

Our route also includes a stop at the “devil’s trampoline”. This is the name of the Gávea Circuit that runs through Rocinha. Its sweeping curves put experienced drivers to the test between 1933 and 1954, during the years when these car races were among the most important in Brazil.

After visiting the favela, we will return to the starting point in Rocinha and then accompany you to your hotel in Rio de Janeiro.
