Your first stop is to visit the best example of 18th century architecture. The famous Teatro Amazonas – an impressive neoclassical structure built with materials imported from Europe and decorated with priceless paintings by Capranesi and Angelis. The impressive architecture and magnificent interiors date back to 1896 and were extensively restored in 1989. It is a symbol of the former region of the ‘golden age’ of rubber and is considered one of the most elegant theaters.
From here you will pass the Rio Negro Palace – which now serves as a cultural center and post office for some events where the governor hosts celebrities, and the Municipal Art Market – a replica of “Les Halles” in Paris, a floating port and long Nel way we visit the Museum of the Indians, which houses displays of artifacts, clothes and weapons of the most important indigenous tribes of the region.
And in the end we visit one of the most beautiful stadiums built for the World Cup in Brazil, the Arena da Amazônia.
